The X Factor’s double elimination results show tonight was definitely tumultuous of varying degrees. The rumpus came early with Ellona Santiago’s elimination (her photo appears in this recap). Perhaps the biggest multi-tasking performer to appear in the show, Ellona was a crowd favorite and proclaimed frontrunner this season (straight from the four judges themselves). Ellona’s exit made jaws drop (led by Kelly Rowland) and resulted to a lot of stunned faces. The general shocked sentiment was understandable, considering that last night happened to be Ellona’s strongest (in both performances). Did the mentors’ constant patronage hurt her this time?
