Shark Tank’s first entrepreneur featured a bicycle-powered juice bar which all the Sharks found a little too cute for their taste. Ryan Carpenter, the man behind Moberi, pitched his existing product by having Daymond John and Mark Cuban utilize the bikes that propelled the blenders attached to them. Ryan needed $50,000 in exchange for 15% equity in his business; the amount will be used to build two more smoothie carts (in addition to the existing cart) in Portland. Although sales has been $70,000 for its first year, Kevin O’Leary doubted the enterprise’s ability to expand sales due to capacity issues....
